We will be chopping a 1950 Ford Shoebox Sedan

In this class we will go over:
How to measure, cut, make panels, and make matching panels for the other side, and weld them in a real world scenario fabricating a panel is one thing, making it fit is another.
History of the Chop, Style and Proportion.
How and why we brace a car.
How to layout your cuts for a perfect fit.
How to make chopped windows work and what your options are for the windows .
Tricks on making templates.
Fabricating panels using:
english wheel, shrinker-stretcher, stump shrinking and working with the sand bag, stationary planishing hammer, hand-held planishing hammer and pullmax machines will be covered.
We will have instructors that will go over everything, so if you’re green don’t be discouraged, if you have troubles with something specific or struggle in an area please ask. That’s what we are here for.
We will go over Tig welding and Metal finishing, which includes: hammer and dolly technique, how to sand and dress welds, using the shrinking disk, planning ahead and problem solving when the unexpected happens.
This class includes hands on time with the equipment, learn by doing not by just watching!
